The theme of the day was «The Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable Consumption and Production» with the focus on the role of young people in ensuring poverty eradication and achieving sustainable development through sustainable consumption and production.
The celebration started with welcoming speech by the UN Resident Coordinator in Armenia, Bradley Busetto, followed by the presentation of the Awesome Foundation winning idea in July 2016 «Toprak petq chi» initiative and «Nairian» project presentation.
It was also announced about the joint initiative between UNDP Geneva and Impact Hub global network – Accelerate 2030 which is looking for the social innovators and active young people with interesting ideas.
